Meta is releasing the face tracking estimation based on the player's voice, it would be really great to emulate it in steamvr

I often use my desktop while I'm next to friends in VRChat. If I want to see my friends, I can't use the Virtual Desktop UI, I need to use the Steam overlay. Virtual Desktop has a better UI and better text rendering, and it sucks that I can't actually take advantage of that except when I'm launching or quitting VRC.

Please make it so that if you toggle the emulate vive tracker toggle while steamvr is running it toggles power state of the virtual trackers. It's really annoying to have to restart SteamVR to turn on/off the emulated trackers, and I know it's possible because SlimeVR does it with their emulated trackers. Would allow for switching between estimated trackers and "real" trackers (for instance when batteries die, or conversely when they finish charging) without having to quit out of everything and relaunch.

It would be nice to have the ability to make desktop screens semi transparent.

Sometimes a game developer has a badge that doesn't contain readable text or an appropriate image useful for identifying the game. Other times a glitch simply fails to pull the game badge and users are left with a blank space and a Play arrow inside. An option/feature that shows the game title as text in the badge space, or elsewhere in the Games window would prevent any readability or image display issues.

It would be great to get a configurable pass-thru area for real-world keyboard/mouse for non-pass-through environments. Allow toggling it and manual resize of the circular/oval shape.

A panel where you can make and add custom buttons (to be used for sim gaming using Virtual 2D monitors), which can act as a virtual controller to the game. For example, a virtual joystick and/or a few buttons which can act as a HOTAS to 2d games. A good example of a virtual controller is the HOTAS system in VTOL VR

In the Quest's menu there is an option to enable a gaze cursor when you connect a bluetooth controller (like an xbox controller). Is it possible to support this inside of VD? By pressing Start + Select I get access to a cursor attached to my head that allows me to look and select instead of reaching for the touch controllers or hoping my hand tracking works well enough. As of v71 gaze cursor got improved where you can drag and drop items while holding A on the Xbox controller.

an option to use meta's own keyboard with the swipe typing feature or a swipe typing mode implemented in vd's keyboard instead

The recent beta introduced multiple virtual monitors. I would love if you could turn on/off snapping so the mouse transitions more cleanly between screens.
