hand gesture to disable hand interactions with the buttons around the screen

no more "blue and red 3D" out of nowhere because your quest decided that your you typing was actually you pointing and clicking at the 3d button... immersed has a gesture to block hand inputs and its actually one of its most useful features! gonna type something? block hand interaction. wanna scrolls through reddit on a big screen? enable hand ineraction... and so on

That would be a nice feature. I use the headset to watch movies while cooking. But I often click either something on the desktop or one of the VD setting buttons around it. That's why I have hand gesture deactivated completely and always carry a controller around with me. Would be better, if I could deactivate hand gesture with a hand gesture so I can prepare my meal without worry. And when I walk over to my dining room I can activate it again and move the screen to where I want it. Or changing volume, starting the next youtube clip, etc. It would be way more convenient if I didn't have to always carry a Quest controller around. Especially while preparing food; if I want to interact with something onscreen, I have to wash my hands. Just to change the volume a bit.
I would suggest the left hand gesture for the menu as an activation gesture (palm facing me, index finger and thumb touching each other). If hand gestures are deactivated that doesn't do anything in VD anyway.
